About the Job:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data Engineer to join our client's team and contribute to the design, development, and implementation of robust data warehouse solutions. In this role, you will assemble and optimize data pipelines and architectures that enable analytics and reporting across Clinical, Hospital Performance, and Corporate functions. You will play a key role in ensuring data availability, accuracy, and performance by leveraging cloud-based technologies such as Google BigQuery or equivalent. The ideal candidate is a strong problem solver with expertise in SQL and data engineering best practices, capable of building scalable processes, maintaining system performance, and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver high-quality, actionable insights in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Strong SQL and relational database design/development expertise
  • Hands-on experience in building and managing data pipelines for ETL (extraction, transformation, and loading) using SQL and cloud-based technologies such as Google BigQuery or equivalent
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis on data and processes to identify opportunities for improvement and deliver optimized solutions
  • Proven skills in developing processes that support data transformation, workload management, metadata, and dependency handling
  • Proficiency in modern programming and scripting languages such as Python, Java, or Scala
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with all levels of the organization
  • Willing to work on-site on training for 1-2 weeks at BGC, Taguig for IT Asset Collection
  • Willing to work in US hours (graveyard shift)

Preferred:

  • Experience working with healthcare data systems or patient financial service systems
  • Familiarity with big data tools such as Kafka and Spark
  • Knowledge of workflow management tools such as Airflow
  • Experience building and optimizing near-real-time or large-scale data pipelines
  • Exposure to healthcare system integration (Cerner, Meditech, CPSI, Allscripts, EPIC, McKesson, NextGen)
